Although, according to a new report from 91mobiles, POCO will release laptops in India soon. This was announced by analyst Mukul Sharma, a Redmi G series laptop battery certified by the Indian Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The launch hints at the imminent launch of the first POCO laptop in the country.
A Redmi G series laptop battery with build number G16B01W was recently spotted on the BIS website under the POCO brand. The battery is powered by a 3620 mAh capacity, which is 55,02 Wh. This battery looks like a spare. POCO may well run a gaming laptop. But so far nothing has been confirmed.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time a Redmi brand battery has been listed under the POCO brand. However, this is the first time since POCO announced the expansion of its ecosystem. Joining the dots, we can say that POCO may have plans to launch a laptop in India in the coming months. For now, however, it is best to treat them with some skepticism.
The device may be a modified version of the Redmi G 2021. In comparison, the Redmi G 2021 gaming laptop is equipped with a 16-inch LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is powered by an Intel Core i5-11260H processor and has 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. There is also an AMD grade version with the Ryzen 7 5800 variant. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
Apart from the product line, POCO is also working on adding additional customization options that will only be available for POCO smartphones.
