Infinix Zero 5G - the first 5G smartphone with 160W fast charging?

Since last year, Transsion Holdings has been investing in the global presence of its brands such as Infinix and Tecno. The latter is aimed at the budget segment, while the former is aimed at the middle level and something else. Infinix made bold promises earlier this year with smartphones with 160W charging, periscope cameras and more. However, it is not yet even in the 5G segment, but that is about to change. The company is setting the stage for a new smartphone dubbed the Infinix Zero 5G, according to a new report. It will be the company's first 5G smartphone to will be released on market. Could this be the highly anticipated 160W smartphone?

The launch of the Infinix Zero 5G seems imminent right now, as data on the design of the device and its key specs were leaked ahead of the official launch. The company has yet to confirm details about the smartphone. It will be the first phone from Infinix to support 5G connectivity upon launch.

Infinix Zero 5G specs

Infinix Zero 5G design revealed in leaked renders. Judging from the images, the back of the phone looks a lot like the Oppo Find X3 Pro. The camera module design on the back has a square shape. Rather than having a sharp protruding block, the camera module contains a rung with three cameras and two LED flashes. Unfortunately, there is not a word about the details of the camera sensor. However, Infinix uses 64MP cameras on many of its smartphones.

The phone has a flat display with thin bezels around it. As usual, it has a center hole for selfies. Unfortunately, there is not a word about the screen size or its resolution. However, we can expect Full HD + resolution. According to YouTuber Tech Arena24 , the device will feature an AMOLED display, which is unusual for Infinix phones. This panel will also support 120Hz refresh rates.

Other information suggests it will be packaging the MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC. This makes sense as Infinix and MediaTek have a long-standing partnership. Fortunately, the company is ditching the Helio G90 series and is focusing on something newer with this phone. It will have at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which suggests that this is a mid-range phone at an affordable price. Unfortunately, other characteristics are still a mystery.

There is no evidence that this is a 160W fast charge phone, but it could be a great opportunity. Infinix is not ready to compete with the big companies with flagship smartphones, but if it can provide 160W charging to a cheaper phone, it will be great for them. Rumors suggest the Infinix Zero 5G will go official in December.
