Get ready for victory
Before starting the game, there are several settings that you can configure. As a first step, it’s useful to adjust the sensitivity of the screen and change it to suit your tastes and experience in the game. I prefer all three sensitivity levels to be high enough, so I don’t need to move my finger too much if I want to turn around.
There are also several options that I would like to deactivate during assembly, for example, turbo assembly and automatic material change. I prefer to always choose what to invest rather than spend resources automatically.
Choose a landing spot and do it next to your team
If you play as a couple or as a team, look at the map before jumping to see where others want to go. Staying together is the key to success. Fly fast and head to the area where you agreed to land.
When you rise to the ground, the glider opens in proportion to the surface below you. Therefore, if you fly over the mountain, it will open earlier than if you fly over the river. It sounds silly, but this trick will help you get to the ground faster.
Choose where to land well. Do not go to a building where someone is already there. Try to do it right in the window. If you do not have special skills in working with a glider, you can always land on the roof. There is no staircase, but you can chop the roof so you can enter the building and take the materials for the construction.
Learn to run
Running is fundamental. A moving target is very difficult to hit. Therefore, when you move from one building to another or run from a storm, you better pick up speed. Just double-click on the virtual joystick to lock yourself in running mode, and repeat to return to normal speed when you are safe.
If they shoot at you, you jump
When you jump, it’s harder for others to catch up with you, and repeating a moving target is harder to hit. The sight of a frog around as a form of location is already a well-known joke about Fortnite, but it is widely used for a reason. If you run and hear or see bullets whistling around you, jump to save your life. Movement is important to stay alive as long as possible.
Loot everything, not just weapons
Looting is the key in this game. There are 5 brands of weapons, from normal to legendary. Of course you have to keep the best. You can quickly recognize them by color. From worst to best: gray, green, blue, purple and yellow. Of course, other players are the best source of weapons. Remember also that you can shoot with your left finger.
Usually you find enough ammunition, but it is always useful to save money just in case. If you have a knocked out enemy and you want to kill him to get their items, shoot from a weapon that you do not use a lot, so as not to waste ammunition from a good weapon.
Always carry long-range weapons with you, as in the last part of the game, when everyone is hiding in a tower, powerful weapons can play a decisive role.
Destroy and disassemble
Each Fortnite player begins with a pickaxe that can be used to “attack” the environment and collect materials such as wood and stone. Like Minecraft, the Fortnite world consists of invisible blocks, many of which contain resources.
Almost everything can be hit with a pickaxe and mined: buildings, vehicles, trees, mountains. And, if you really do not need to use the environmental protection function, it is best to cut everything down and take the materials for use. But be careful to make sure that you are alone first, as the surrounding enemies will be attracted to the noise. To survive at the end of the game, you need to build, and you do not want the materials to end unexpectedly.
Building can save your life
This is one of the most difficult aspects of Fortnite in a mobile device due to the accuracy of its touch controls; doing it quickly requires a lot of practice.
During construction, use stronger materials on the outside and wood on the inside to preserve solid materials. Build walls to protect yourself and place the ramp. On the last lap, it’s normal to find towers. If you play in a group, it is best to work together: the best shot continues to shoot at the enemy, and the rest try to destroy the fortress. You can also build to trap the enemy.
Sort weapons close to your fingers
We have five places for organizing weapons, health items and shields. The first hole on the left is always occupied by a pickaxe, but on the right it is usually freer. Press the button on your backpack to open the right panel. Below you have five holes that you see on the screen of a regular game. Place your favorite weapon on the right to activate it immediately after construction. During the game, I change the order of things several times to pull out my favorite weapon as quickly as possible - a split second can mean life and death!
First aid kits are better than bandages
Bandages are good if a storm or acid rain has weakened you, but to survive to the finals, it is much better to carry first aid kits. Slurp juice cans are best used as soon as possible so that they do not take up space. And if you do not have free space, you can always throw something away or have a drink, and then pick up what you have dropped.
Use earphones and watch the display
Hearing where the shots come from is the first thing you need to do to react in time. With a stereo headset, you will know to the nearest thousandth of a second where the shot was fired from. In addition, the display will warn you about where the noise comes from if you have any doubts. There are even cases when I heard a shot from one side, but on the screen I saw that someone was moving from the other side, so pay attention to both sides.
Using Playground Mode for Training
One of the great things about Fortnite is that when you play in regular modes, it's often pretty fun to fail. In the end, you will never have to wait too long to try again, and we learn from our mistakes. But if you find that they continue to eliminate you before you can really master the ropes, try out new tactics or practice your building skills, then it's time to leave the competition and try the playground mode.
