At the Xiaomi 12 Series Product Launch Conference held last December, the long-awaited MIUI 13 officially debuted. Xiaomi also announced that MIUI 13 is focused on "faster and more stable" operations with core optimization, Focus Computing 2.0, atomic memory, liquid storage.
Xiaomi today revealed the release schedule for MIUI 13 for global models. According to the schedule, smartphones such as Xiaomi 11 series, Redmi Note 11 series, and Xiaomi Pad 5 will receive this update in the first quarter of this year.
According to reports, the global rollout of the stable version of MIUI 13 should begin at the end of January 2022.

MIUI 13 improvements

Behind the massive improvement in MIUI 13's fluency is support for Focus Computing 2.0. The system not only handles basic scenarios such as full-screen gestures, but also directs computing resources towards the base system for basic third-party applications. This greatly improves the fluency of these applications.
At the same time, the latest platform also uses fluid storage and atomic memory. This makes the background resource consumption of applications very low. After 36 months of continuous use, read and write performance remains below 5%. This means that the system stays very new for a very long time.
MIUI 13 comes with system-level fraud protection
At the presentation, Jin Fan, who is in charge of the MIUI system, said that MIUI privacy has contributed to the transformation of the industry. This time, MIUI 13 adds three privacy protection features: face verification protection, privacy watermarks, and e-fraud protection.
During the face check, the system captures the entire upper body. MIUI 13 has a new private shooting mode, intelligent face detection, system-level occlusion of images other than the face. So you really only show your face.
