Along with the new ZTE S30 series including the S30, S30 SE and S30 Pro, ZTE also announced a new smartwatch for the Chinese market called ZTE Watch GT.
This is the company's new round watch with a round 1,19-inch 2.5D curved AMOLED display. The case is made of an ultra-lightweight aluminum alloy and weighs only 30 grams, which ZTE claims makes it comfortable and easy to carry.
ZTE Watch GT supports up to 16 sports modes, including running outdoor, running indoor, walking outdoor, cycling outdoor, spinning, hiking, swimming, yoga, strength training, basketball, soccer, and more watch cover most training / sports scenarios.
Besides the usual set of functions such as tracking calories, speed, steps and sleep monitoring, ZTE Watch GT also comes with a multi-mode GPS positioning system. Thanks to GPS support, ZTE has added a dedicated heat map feature to the football mode of its new watch, in which the watch will track your playing positions and display a heat map of the areas where you have been in the stadium. This can be a really good feature for understanding your gameplay and improving it over time. The watch supports 24-hour heart rate monitoring along with abnormal heart rate alerts. It also comes with a blood oxygen monitor.
The ZTE Watch GT is certified for 5ATM water resistance, so it can be worn even while swimming. The watch can also display notifications like incoming calls, SMS, WeChat in real time. Other standard features are also present in the new watch, such as remote photography, music playback control and raising the wrist to wake up.
ZTE claims up to 15 days of battery life in normal use and up to 23 days in ultra-long battery life.
The ZTE Watch GT retails for 599 Yuan (~ $ 91), however the company is offering a 50 Yuan discount until March 31 in China.
