The Canoo electric pickup can compete with the Cybertruck Tesla with its futuristic design.

U.S. electric vehicle startup Canoo recently unveiled its all-electric pickup truck during Motor Press Guild's Virtual Media Day (VMD) in partnership with Automobility LA. The Canoo electric truck has a completely different design than the Cybertruck Tesla. The front end design is a bit reminiscent of the VW Kombi pickup from the 70s, but is designed for the future. The company claims that this truck is as strong as the sturdiest truck. It also has a number of innovative features that make it suitable for everyday use as a truck driver.

The Canoo electric pickup truck is rated for a range of up to 200 miles. The engine will have a power output of up to 600 hp. and 550 lb-ft of torque. It will also have a lifting capacity of up to 1800 pounds. The truck is 76 inches tall. It's slightly taller than the Cybertruck Tesla by a few inches, but noticeably shorter than GMC's Hummer EV, which is 81,1 inches tall.

The truck is also shorter in length compared to the competition at 184 inches. However, there is a pull-out bed extension and this can increase the overall length up to 213 inches. For reference, the Hummer EV is 216,8 inches long and the Tesla truck is 231,7 inches.

When this extension is unplugged, the bed reaches eight feet in length, which is enough for a 4 × 8 sheet of plywood. Users can also divide the space with modular partitions. Other interesting design features include side steps, folding side tables and a front compartment with folding table and storage section.

Canoo also includes plugs to supply export power from all sides of the vehicle in case you need a generator.

Canoe hasn't disclosed full specs or pricing yet. We'll know about that when pre-orders begin in the second quarter of this year.
