According to the report of the Chinese edition ReadInsiders reported that OPPO is already in talks with suppliers (we assume component suppliers) for its first tablet. No names are mentioned, so we don't know who OPPO's component partners are, but we want to believe most of them will be local suppliers.

Much is still unknown about the first OPPO tablet. The manufacturer will go against Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, Samsung, Lenovo, Huawei, Honor and some other brands are still in the tablet business. The tablet market, which was in recession a few years ago, boosted sales in 2020 due to a pandemic that forced schools to close and students to learn virtually. This could be the reason OPPO thinks the tablet should be launched as well.

We expect OPPO's first out-of-the-box Android tablet to launch first in China and then to other markets. It was also reported that Xiaomi is planning to release a new model of its Mi Pad tablet line this year. It remains to be seen if this will be announced before or after the OPPO tablet.
