HONOR 20, 20 Pro & V20 Receive Magic UI 4.0 Global Stable Update

If you recall, the stable update has already been rolled out to these devices in China. Now global options HONOR 20, HONOR 20 Pro и HONOR V20 get the global stable version of Magic UI 4.0. Build with firmware version 11.0.0.138 and roll out an OTA update of about 1,84 GB in size.

This version of the software is based on EMUI 11, which in turn is a user interface based on Android 10 without GMS. Huawei introduced EMUI 11 back in September 2020. Due to a dispute with the US, the company was unable to install the latest version Android 11since Google was shut down from working with the Chinese giant.

However, the UI still has improved features like photo sharing privacy, gallery, ringtones, UI animations, multi-window, and more. Magic UI 4.0which is based on this also has corresponding features, and if you have one of the devices mentioned above, you can expect the following features to appear on your device:

  • Artistic themes
  • Collaborate on multiple screens
  • Smoother animation
  • Super notepad
  • Subtle effect
  • Rhythmic melodies
  • Privacy Notebook and Photo Sharing
  • Uninterrupted screen protection and more.

Be that as it may, the update is reportedly in its early stages and it may take a few days to reach all in a phased rollout. Huawei has announced a plan to update its flagships to HarmonyOS in the future, and we'll have to wait and see what HONOR does for its devices.
