OnePlus 8/8 Pro OxygenOS Open Beta 7 Update Contains February 2021 Security Fixes

Almost a month after the last OxygenOS open beta as well as stable [19459005], OnePlus is rolling out the OxygenOS Open Beta 7 update for the OnePlus 8 series. The new release introduces minor fixes / optimizations and increases the level of security fixes.

OxygenOS Open Beta 7 is the only public build available for OnePlus 8 и OnePlus 8 Pro with security fixes from February 2021, and we are already in March. In fact, last week Samsung started installing this month's security update on some of its smartphones.

This clearly shows how far behind the company is now in terms of software support. Also, the stable OxygenOS 11 update has not yet been released ( Android 11 ) for the respective devices. The OnePlus Nord, the company's popular phone, received the said update just today.

Either way, going back to the latest public beta update for the OnePlus 8 series, the new build contains an adjusted emergency rescue layout on the password lock screen, fixes the "Horizon Light" feature that won't turn on, and optimizes the stability of the camera app OnePlus Camera.

OnePlus Series OXYGEN The Open Beta 7 update is rolling out via OTA to users who are already using the previous beta. On the other hand, interested users of stable channels can download and install this update from OnePlus Community .
