In an exclusive report from Sammobile it is said that Samsung will release the next flagship S series, dubbed Galaxy S21 (tentative), in January 2021. This is a clear departure from the February Galaxy S launch window. However, it could also be a strategy to keep a reasonable timeline between launches. Samsung released this year Galaxy z flip together with the S20 series. It then switched to the Note 20 series in August and launched the fast Fan Edition S20 in October.

Not to mention, it also unveiled the second generation of the Fold in September, the Galaxy Z Fold 2. It was a slew of launches in a short amount of time, and so perhaps Samsung decided to simplify it a bit. However, the report says that they do not have an exact date, but they have an approximate time frame: January / early February 2021. And given the current situation, we can expect the event to be virtual as well.

Production from mid-December 2020

To confirm this, the report TheElec Samsung is said to begin production of the next Galaxy model, the S21, around mid-December 2020. This is reportedly faster than in the previous period when the company started production. Galaxy S20 production in January. Plus, if it launches early, as mentioned above, it could also go on sale a month earlier, the report said.

The report added that the Galaxy S21 will have three models and their current production names are O1, P3 and T2. Samsung is likely to announce the S21 series in gray, pink, purple, white and silver variants. If the report is correct, Samsung will also unveil the next generation Galaxy Buds 2 alongside the S21. The earbuds will have increased water resistance. Codenamed "The Attic", it will most likely have black, silver and purple colors.

Samsung recently released the Galaxy Buds Live alongside the Note 20 series. And according to the report, Samsung had to call it Live / Plus earlier because it didn't make the headphones much better. That being said, the earlier launch is reportedly in line with different strategies after Ro Tae Moon took over as head of Samsung Mobiles. In addition, with the US pushing Huawei off, Samsung is likely to take the lead and seize the vacuum early enough.

Further: Samsung was ahead of Huawei by 31,6% in August; the gap between them will continue to widen
