Samsung UV Sterilizer That Charges Your Phone & Kills Germs Hits India

Samsung first introduced a UV sterilizer earlier this month in Thailand. The product appeared at a time when the pandemic COVID-19 is destroying the world, and there is a need to disinfect all surfaces and gadgets, including our smartphones, to reduce the spread of the virus. Samsung UV Sterilizer has been introduced to the Indian market.

The portable UV-C sterilizer is designed to kill germs on phones. Samsung advertises the device as capable of killing up to 99% of germs, including E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans, in just 10 minutes. It can also be used to sterilize other devices and items, including headphones, smart watches, keys, sunglasses, and masks. The gadget uses dual ultraviolet lamps that sterilize both the top and bottom surfaces of the item inside the box. Samsung UV Sterilizer

The portable sterilizer is designed to perform the dual function of killing germs from phone surfaces, as well as wirelessly charging smartphones and other wireless charging devices. The wireless charger uses the Qi standard.

In terms of design, the UV sterilizer is shaped like a retail box, but slightly larger, large enough to accommodate large smartphones such as the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The box has one button to activate sterilization and the entire process is completed in just 10 minutes. Samsung UV Sterilizer

Samsung's UV Sterilizer comes in at a decent Rs. 3599 (~ $ 48) and will go on sale in August 2020. The gadget will be sold in Samsung offline stores, Samsung online store and all other retail channels in India.
