Looking at the images, the Xiaomi patent relates to a smartphone with a flexible display. After full disclosure, it folds out with a noticeable frame in the right corner. When it is folded outward, the rear front side is a full-screen housing, and the rear has a narrow segment in which the camera module is located. This design is very similar to the Mate Xs, which was launched earlier this year.

The large display on the front panel has small frames surrounding it, and in the narrow right corner there is also a volume rocker and a power button. The narrow segment on the rear panel is equipped with four cameras, a microphone, an LED flash and a button. This button is obviously pressed to release and expand the display from its place. In other words, the display is protected by this mechanism.

The patented Xiaomi smartphone is charged via a Type-C USB port, on the sides of which there is a speaker grill. Looking at the device from the back, you can see how the articulated mechanics on the back of the device are deployed. Unfortunately, it is not known whether the Chinese tech giant will actually make such a device or if it simply covers all bases.
