iQOO Z1 5G debuts with Dimensity 1000+, 144 Hz display and 44 W fast charge for $ 309

In February iQOO presented iQOO 3 5G flagship phone with the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. Last month, it announced iQOO Neo3 5G as the cheapest SD865 smartphone. Today, a Chinese company has announced another flagship phone called iQOO Z1 5G. The main feature of the Z1 is that it is the first smartphone in the world based on MediaTek's Dimensity 1000+ SoC

Some of the smartphone’s other attractions include a 144 Hz refresh screen, a large battery that supports fast charging, and a 48-megapixel triple-camera setup. The flagship 5G phone comes at an irresistible starting price of 2198 yuan (~ $ 309).

The iQOO Z1 5G has a 6,57-inch IPS LCD screen with a hole in the upper right corner. The complaint HDR10 display supports DCI-P3 color gamut and delivers Full HD + 1080 × 2400 pixels with refresh rates up to 144Hz. The smartphone is loaded with Android 10 OS with iQOO UI 1.0 flavor. iQOO claims over 100 apps are optimized for 000Hz display. Even some games have been optimized to support maximum refresh rates on the device. To enhance the gaming experience, the Z144 offers users five customizable sound effects.

The iQOO Z1 5G is based on Dimensity 1000+, officially released earlier this month. The 7nm chipset is an updated version of Somens Dimensity 1000, announced back in November 2019. The eight-core processor consists of four Cortex-A77 processor cores and four Cortex-A55 cores, as well as Mali-G77 MP graphics. The new chipset provides 5G connectivity support on both iQOO Z1 SIM card slots. As for AnTuTu points, Z1 scored 536 683 points on the testing platform.

iQOO Z1 is equipped with up to 8 GB of RAM LPDDR4X and UFS 3.1 up to 256 GB. There is no microSD card slot in the phone. The smartphone is equipped with a battery capacity of 4500 mAh with support for fast charging 44 watts. A liquid-cooled heat sink system can reduce the internal temperature of the device to 10 degrees Celsius.

iQOO Z1 5G has a front-facing shooter of 16 megapixels. A three-camera system is installed on the back of the phone, which includes a 48-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide 112 degree sensor and a 2-megapixel macro shot with a 4 cm focal length. Some features of the smartphone’s camera include Hyper HDR, human eye tracking , low light and ultra-wide photo, shooting 4K video and recording video in slow motion 1080p.

The iQOO Z1 comes with connectivity options such as a dual SIM slot, support for 5G, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, GPS, USB-C and a 3,5 mm audio jack. The smartphone can connect to Wi-Fi networks 6 and 5G at the same time. For audiophiles, the phone is equipped with two stereo speakers and a Smart PA amplifier. Finally, it has a side fingerprint scanner.

iQOO Z1 5G price, options and availability

iQOO Z1 entered China in three ways as follows:

  • 6 GB RAM + 128 GB for storage - 2198 yuan (~ 309 dollars)
  • 8 GB of RAM + 128 GB of storage - 2498 yuan (~ 351 US dollar)
  • 8 GB of RAM + 256 GB of storage - 2798 yuan (~ $ 394)

The iQOO Z1 comes in two color options, such as Space Blue, Galaxy Silver, and Symphony Meteor. The Chinese company will also sell silicone protective case and game controller for Z1 buyers. They are priced at 49 yuan (~ $ 7) and 199 yuan (~ $ 28). The Chinese company also announced the release of iQOO wireless sports headphones worth 299 yuan (~ $ 42).

There is no information on the availability of iQOO Z1 in China. The pre-sale of the smartphone begins at noon through the Vivo China online store in the domestic market. Other Chinese retailers will pre-sell the Z1 from May 25th. The first phone sales will be held June 1 in China.
