Oppo Smart Tag Design Revealed On Patent Images Ahead Of Launch

Back in January 2021, we reported that Oppo is working on its own Bluetooth Smart Tag device. The design of this smart tag has now been shown on patent images prior to its official launch.

Smart Tag from the Chinese tech giant will be functionally similar Galaxy Smart Tag from Samsung, which was announced along with the series Galaxy S21. So it was also speculated at the time that we might see an iteration of this Oppo device launch alongside the Find X3 series. Now, the company's smart tag has been spotted in a recent patent application at China's CNIPA, according to a report. 91Mobiles... The patent contains several images that are slightly different from those seen earlier this year.

The Oppo smart tag looks flatter and slightly larger than before. It has a rectangular shape with rounded edges. In the center is a circular design with the logo of the smartphone manufacturer. It is noteworthy that no seams or holes were found in the patent that would allow the device to be attached to a personal item. For those who don't know, smart tags are essentially small Bluetooth-enabled devices that help you find certain items and objects to which they are attached.

In other words, it helps you find items like your keys or bag if lost but still connected to your smartphone. Unfortunately, it is unclear if the company will opt for this particular design. So, we'll have to wait for the official announcement to arrive when the Find X3 series launches on March 11, 2021. So stay tuned.
