There were rumors that OnePlus will cooperate with Leica in the production of cameras series OnePlus 9... However, another informant said the information was false and that OnePlus was not partnering with the German camera company. Now there are live photos OnePlus 9 Pro, and the logo is visible on the camera body Hasselblad!
OnePlus isn't the first smartphone company to partner with Hasselblad. Motorola actually did it a few years ago by releasing Moto Z Camera Mod, which was created in partnership with a Swedish camera manufacturer.
The live photos were posted in a video posted by Tech YouTuber, Dave Lee on his YouTube channel Dave2D. According to him, a Discord user shared the photos with him.
The video shows the OnePlus 9 Pro in a silvery gray color. It has a curved display with a perforated hole and a curved glass back that houses four cameras. The rear cameras include two large sensors on top of each other and two small ones next to each other. The camera body also houses an LED flash, a laser focusing system and a small opening with a grill, inside which we believe is the microphone. The images confirm that the OnePlus 9 Pro won't really have a periscope camera lens as all the sensors are round.
At the bottom is a USB-C port, on each side it adjoins the SIM card tray and speaker grill. The images also show that the OnePlus 9 Pro also has a bezel curved around the alert slider and the power button on the right side.
Some other images show some of the phone's specifications. The display settings show that the OnePlus 9 Pro has a QHD + display with a resolution of 3120x1440. Users will be able to choose whether they want to set the display resolution to QHD + or FHD + (2340 × 1080) or the phone will automatically switch to the appropriate resolution to save battery power. We can also see that the phone has a 120Hz refresh rate and users can switch between it and the 60Hz standard.
The section "About the phone" shows OnePlus 6Trather than the OnePlus 9 Pro render. It also does not specify the processor, camera specifications and screen. Another oddity is that the RAM is 11GB and it is paired with 256GB of storage.
This is definitely a prototype phone, so it's understandable why some information is missing.
The OnePlus 9 series is expected to launch this quarter. There will be three models in total - OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, as well as a third model called OnePlus 9 Lite.
