Recently, the periscope camera has become common on many flagships. The lens allows you to capture close-up subjects from a much greater distance as they offer a greater zoom range than a typical telephoto lens. OnePlus has not yet announced a phone with a periscope camera, and now the leaked information has revealed that the series OnePlus 9 will also be absent in the future.
Subsidiary of OnePlus, OPPO, is one of the first manufacturers in the industry to release a periscope camera phone. In fact, it was the first manufacturer to even showcase the technology for mobile phones, but Huawei released the first commercially available phone with this feature. Thus, one might think that OnePlus would also be one of the early adopters, but that didn't happen.

Upcoming flagship phones OnePlus, OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro do not have a periscope camera, according to Max Jambore. This should be a disappointment for fans of the brand who were hoping that the new flagships, or at least the professional model, would have a periscope camera.

Despite the lack of a periscope camera, the OnePlus 9 series is expected to have better cameras than its predecessor. The same leader said, albeit indirectly, in a tweet a few days ago that the OnePlus 9's camera is "worth it."
The OnePlus 9 series will include three models: the OnePlus 9 Lite, which should come with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, and the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, which will have a more powerful Snapdragon 888 processor.
Apart from the processor difference, the three phones are expected to have different screen sizes and resolutions. The leak reported that the OnePlus 9 Pro will have a curved screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and QHD +. resolution. The other two models are required to have FHD + high refresh rate flat panel displays. Other areas where they will differ are cameras, battery capacity, and fast charging technology.
OnePlus is expected to announce the OnePlus 9 series in March along with other products including its very first smartwatch to launch as the OnePlus Watch.
