The leak shows that the OnePlus Z has a processor ... ..Snapdragon

Oct MediaTek and in Qualcomm! A new leak found that OnePlus decided to use a Qualcomm processor for its future OnePlus Z smartphone, rather than a MediaTek processor, as reported in previous reports.

The information was disclosed by Max J. (@MaxJmb), the same leader who confirmed the OnePlus Z will arrive in July. According to the post he shared today, the OnePlus Z is powered by a Snapdragon 765 processor with 5G support.

It was previously reported that OnePlus Z will have a MediaTek Dimensity 1000 / 1000L processor under the hood, but it seems that the situation has changed. Maybe the information was incorrect? Maybe, maybe not.

It is possible that OnePlus initially decided to use one of the new MediaTek 5G processors, but changed its mind. Since the launch is still two months later, there is still enough time for such serious changes to occur before mass production has yet begun. However, there can be many reasons for switching from MediaTek to Qualcomm.

Did Qualcomm OnePlus offer a better price for its Snapdragon 765 chipset? Did OnePlus decide to switch to the Snapdragon processor for reasons unknown to us? Is the Dimensity 1000 the same line as the ill-fated Helio X30 a few years ago? We can come up with a lot more questions.

The Snapdragon 765 is a powerful mid-range processor, but it still doesn't meet the Dimensity 1000L in terms of performance, not to mention the Dimensity 1000. Nevertheless, we are sure that there are many people who are happy with the news that the OnePlus Z has a Snapdragon processor. Are you one of them? Let us know in the comment box.
