Nokia G10 may be the first in a new series; HMD will also adopt a new naming scheme

HMD Global not impressive lately. Multiple Nokia phones which were supposed to appear last year have yet to be announced, and the rollout Android 11 was very slow on the respective devices. However, interesting news came from the Finnish company, which says that the manufacturer is planning to release a new series of phones, the first of which will be released as Nokia G10.

Nokia G10 first reported N, will be the first in Nokia's new G-series lineup. According to their source, the Nokia phone with model number TA-1334 is the Nokia G10.

The phone is expected to have a 6,4-inch screen, an octa-core processor and a 48MP quad camera on the back. The device is said to have many characteristics in common with the Nokia 5.4, but we expect it to have some notable differences.

There is no news yet on when the phone will launch, but it may not be too long considering the device has been certified in Thailand as well as TÜV Rheinland.

In related news, it was reported that HMD Global will adopt a new naming scheme this year. The information comes from the Twitter account Nokibar (@baidunokibar) and the tweet says that HMD Global will move away from the 'dot' naming style that has been used since the start of Nokia smartphones.

There have been several complaints that the current naming scheme is confusing and it looks like HMD Global has decided to fix this. From the image, Nokia will be using a mix of alphabets and numbers. So there is a chance that the Nokia G10 may not actually be a new series, but the first phone released under a new naming scheme.

We advise you to treat the information with a grain of salt until concrete evidence emerges.
