Neobot NoMo did what he promised: he cleans my house every day with little effort and I got 30+ minutes more personal time! Take a look below and find out why :)
Roomba paved the way for the mass adoption of robotic vacuum cleaners. Marketed as a simple alternative to tedious and time-consuming vacuuming or perhaps as the ultimate Christmas gift, robot vacuum cleaners have become widely sold and used around the world in recent years. They are the first robots to be used in large numbers in our homes and the first devices to use Wi-Fi as a means of remote control. Many companies provide different models that have slight differences in power or design. However, they all have the same drawback: they must be cleaned by hand after one or more uses. Dust, hair and other particles end up in the bin, but usually some of them are airborne back into our home. In our new review Neabot NoMo we will see the first robot vacuum cleaner that solved this problem, and more :)
Neabot is a company founded in 2019 with the goal of providing every family with a better cleaning experience. Their goal is to give their clients the opportunity to spend more time on what they like and less time on their daily activities. Neabot unveiled its first product, the Neabot NoMo Robot Vacuum Cleaner, in May 2020 on Kickstarter. Following the success on the fundraising platform, the company began global sales. The difference between NoMo and other robot vacuum cleaners is that NoMo there is a self-emptying waste basket !
Neobot NoMo can be found at gadget plus along with its accessories.

Description and use
The NoMo robot vacuum cleaner consists of a typical circular robot vacuum cleaner and a charging base including a dust collector. In the retail box, we can also find a remote control and instructions for connecting the system to our mobile phone. It took a while to connect the vacuum cleaner to Wi-Fi and my Android smartphone, but after that we were ready for the first use. There was already a bag in the charging base / dustbin and the vacuum cleaner was charged enough to make the first pass and map the house.
For the Neabot NoMo review, I used a vacuum cleaner in my own apartment. We are talking about an average apartment of 115 m2, one-story, with winter carpets, lots of chairs and tables. I pressed the "Clear" button in the mobile app and the robot flew to the floor. Two side brushes and a roller brush underneath the robot effectively removed and vacuumed dirt, while the robot recognized carpets and increased suction to remove hair and other debris from them. The failure mapped all the rooms, got a little tangled up in my computer cables, but cleaned the whole apartment in 45 minutes.
Whole production sensors
Wall sensors allow NoMo to move very closely along walls and around objects without touching them. It can easily negotiate obstacles such as doorways up to 20mm in size, and easily and unimpeded pass through the house for a complete cleaning of the covering. The robot has anti-collision sensors and soft shock absorbers to avoid obstacles and protect your furniture. It uses a z-shaped evacuation scheme rather than just random movement, which is generally a more efficient cleaning method. He cleaned the whole house properly - plus the corners. NeaBot NoMo uses lidar navigation and simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) technologies for mapping, making the NoMo robot really smart at mapping and following the best possible route. It took 3-4 more uses to properly study the house and program its path. With the fifth use, the cleaning time was reduced to 32 minutes.
The robot vacuum cleaner has an option for intensive cleaning (if you have a pet or if you have dropped something on the floor) with a suction power of 2700 Pa. For example, if you drop sugar, you can direct the cleaning robot to the exact spot you want and it will clean the localized area around it (area 5 * 5 feet / 1,6 * 1,6 m).
After each cleaning, the robot vacuum cleaner returns to the charging station / dust collector and cleans itself. It automatically transports the dirt collected inside the robot to the dustbin with a bag, without me having to touch the mess. There are filters and cleaning kit inside the robot vacuum cleaner. Everything can be cleaned after use. There is a small bug in the bin - similar to those we can find in conventional electric vacuum cleaners. The auto-seal dust bag holds 2 to 4 weeks of dirt and debris.
Statement Not Working
As you'll see in this Neabot NoMo review, one area in which this smart vacuum cleaner excels is in its applications. It has 5 languages (English, French, German, Spanish and Chinese), two options for units of measure (square feet and square meters) and the ability to update. When I first opened the app, it updated the firmware of the vacuum cleaner, which made a huge impression on me!
The app has a page Schedule , which has the options "Clear" and "Do not disturb". In an additional cleaning plan, we can set the time, days or every day of use, as well as the ability to clean the entire house or specific areas. In the “Do Not Disturb Plan” we can specify the periods during which the vacuum cleaner should not work. It is a tool to stop any manual start from the vacuum cleaner itself or by using a voice assistant. What's also great is the ability to schedule cleaning by room and by the hour. For example, you can clean the bedrooms every two days at 11 am and the kitchen twice a day after every breakfast / lunch / dinner!
NoMo app: smart features
The app has a page Smart Maps , where you can add 3 types of zones: zones for single-pass cleaning, zones for double cleaning and zones that should be prohibited. In the latter, I added my office area to prevent the vacuum cleaner from getting tangled in various PC cables, as well as an area under the kitchen table. While vacuum can travel over carpets or cables, my kitchen chairs have a horizontal floor support that allows the vacuum to be entangled in the space between two chairs.
Thank goodness I figured it out because my smartphone got a hangup notification! After visiting there, I found the NoMO vacuum cleaner confused but also turned off so as not to disturb and waste battery power. Solving this problem was easy as I only needed to add two areas and the robot vacuum has avoided them ever since. The house is cleaned in less than half an hour, the battery is 30% discharged. Neabot claims cleaning time takes up to 3,5 hours on a single charge for an area of approximately 200 m² (2150 ft²).
The app has a button Empty trash to order the robot to clean if you want to change the dust bag and get the ultimate self-cleaning function.
Finally, there is a tab Setting ... There we find the suction power settings at 2700 Pa, 1200ps or 700 Pa. There is an option "Frequency of emptying the trash can" to select "more / less". Since I don't have a pet, I chose 1200 Pa plus Less. You will also find some sound and volume options there - yes, the NoMo robot vacuum can announce its actions.
Finally, the robot got hands-free control with Google Assistant or Alexa for those of you who use these assistants.
Neabot NoMo Review: Conclusion
I love that the robot has smart mapping and goes back to its base station to charge. What was really interesting was the self-cleaning function as well as the fully washable filter and vacuum parts. The NoMo app is really useful, but I wish it had more language options and I wish it would in the future.
The remote control and vacuum buttons are good, but without a display in the app, there is a chance of finding that the vacuum has become entangled in cables or other objects.
I would like the vacuum cleaner to be a little less noisy - especially since the self-cleaning process is very loud. However, this problem was solved by scheduling a cleaning day of time when I jog my 5km daily. I AM I can run those 5 km because I don't waste this time cleaning the floors by hand. I think this is a great deal on my part. Neobot NoMo did what he promised, he cleans my house daily and effortlessly and I got 30+ minutes more personal time!
