Poco is set to launch Poco M4 with MediaTek SoC, 64MP triple camera stack in early February

Chinese smartphone brand Poco unveiled the Poco M3 phone in India in February 2021 with a device powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor with up to 6GB of RAM. The device also offers a 6,53-inch FHD + display, a triple-camera stack with a 48MP main shooter and an 8MP front-facing shot.

Now it looks like the company is gearing up to release a successor to the Poco M3 in the form of the POCO M4. The Indian edition of MySmartPrice, in collaboration with consultant Mukul Sharma, lists some exclusive information on the upcoming M-series pipes.

According to the information provided MySmartPrice Sharma says the Poco M4 will debut in early February in both Asian and global markets. In terms of specs, the device will have a 90Hz refresh rate display, MediaTek SoC, and a triple-camera stack like its predecessor.

In terms of optics, the camera module includes a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP IMX arrow and a 2MP lens. Programmatically it will boot MIUI 12.5 on top of Android 11 out of the box.

We still do not know which processor the device will operate on, and this information may appear along with the test results. When it comes out, we'll be sure to report the same.

In other news, the Poco M3 recently caught fire and Twitter user Mahesh (@ Mahesh08716488) tweeted that the smartphone caught fire and exploded.

The Twitter image shows the Poco M3 with a damaged bottom of the device, with only the top of the module visible.

At the time, the company said its group was investigating the matter to find out the cause and fix it as soon as possible. POCO has also assured the user that it will offer the best possible solution in this matter.

Also, another report says that POCO will soon release a laptop in India. The launch hints at the imminent launch of the first POCO laptop in the country.

The battery is powered by a 3620 mAh capacity, which is 55,02 Wh. This battery looks like a spare. The company may well launch a gaming laptop. However, this is the first time since POCO announced the expansion of its ecosystem.
