Epic Games Store Provides Free Tomb Raider Trilogy

People already expected that in the last days in the store Epic The Games Store will have some more spectacular free-to-play game that will cover Christmas gifts. However, the day came, and the store surprised not one, but three sensational games. We are talking about three new "Tomb Raiders", a trilogy about the reboot of Lara Croft. The three titles are Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The games are available for free to anyone with an Epic Games account. You just need to go to the site and request each game separately. The trailer below is a compilation of the recently released trilogy.

It is important to understand that this is not a trilogy or a compilation, but each of three games that you can activate individually:

Tomb Raider from 2013 has been hailed as a great relaunch for Lara Croft's consoles. The legendary heroine has existed since the days of the PlayStation 1, but has lost its relevance in past generations. 2013 brought an opening story and was a very good year. The climb started in 2015 as an interim step and with many improvements in graphics and gameplay. Shadow came in 2018 to complete the trilogy. Unlike the other two, Shadow of the Tomb Raider focuses more on puzzles and exploration. On the other hand, the first two games are a truly emotional roller coaster full of action.

Looking at the full titles, we can also see that these are not just three awesome games, but their full versions with all the extra content. Surprisingly, Epic's servers are overloaded and you might have problems launching games in the first few hours. But don't worry, they won't be available around the clock like the others. A similar situation happened last year when the company provided its users with Grand Theft Auto V.

Three games will be available for activation on the Epic Games Store until January 6th. If you activate each of them before that date, the games will go into your library and you can download and install them at any time. It's worth noting that, unlike the PlayStation Plus games, these games do not require a subscription or the like. Once you pick up the games, they will always be yours.

Epic Games has been producing good games for the past few years. Everything is part of the company's race to conquer more and more users with its computer games portfolio. In fact, this is a relatively successful strategy. However, in order to topple Steam in the PC segment, it still needs to improve on other aspects.
