The iQOO 9 smartphone has been spotted in the Indian IMEI database, hinting at its imminent launch in that country. Earlier this year, the popular Vivo sub-brand unveiled two new smartphones. The recently launched iQOO 8 series of flagship smartphones consists of two models. The standard iQOO 8 model is a slightly improved version of its predecessor. The larger model, dubbed the iQOO 8 Pro, however, boasts many significantly improved features. In addition, the Pro model offers many impressive features.
It is worth mentioning here that iQOO has not yet brought the iQOO 8 series smartphones to the Indian market. It is rumored that the company is gearing up to launch the iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro in the country later this year. While the iQOO 8 flagship phones have yet to receive a launch date in India, it looks like the company is already working on the iQOO 9 series. The iQOO smartphone has appeared in the IMEI database. Now, the MySmartPrice report suggests this device could be the upcoming iQOO 9.
iQOO 9 Found In IMEI Database
Despite the lack of official confirmation, the report suggests that the iQOO 9 series could go official early next year. Meanwhile, the alleged iQOO 9 series has appeared in the Indian IMEI database. The vanilla variant carries the model number V2171A. In addition, the global IMEI database confirms the iQOO 9 nickname. The same iQOO V2171A was spotted in the Indian IMEI database. This suggests that the iQOO 9 series is heading to India.
Since this is the first time the iQOO 9 has appeared online, there are still few details about the alleged phone. However, the phone may go through several certification websites with more important information in the next few weeks. Earlier this year, a report said that the iQOO 9 would ditch the 4000mAh battery and come with high-speed charging. The report implies that the phone will be powered by a 4400mAh battery.
IQOO 8 Series Launches In India
The popular brand will unveil its highly anticipated iQOO 8 series smartphones in India this November. It is worth noting that two smartphones of the iQOO 8 series have already become official in China. Unfortunately, there are not many details about the exact date of the series' launch. The Vanilla iQOO 8 will feature a 6,5-inch AMOLED display with FHD + resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. In addition, the report 91mobiles iQOO 8 Pro is said to be renamed iQOO 8 Legend in India.
The iQOO 8 Legend will ship with a giant 6,78-inch Super AMOLED 2K display. However, it will offer the same 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of optics, both the iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro will have three cameras on the back. The iQOO 8 will have a 48MP main camera. However, the iQOO 8 Legend, on the other hand, will have a 50MP main camera. Under the hood of the iQOO 8 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. Instead, the 8 Legend will use its power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC.
