This year Infinix expands its business and focuses on the middle segment. Today the company has expanded its "Smart Series" with a new smartphone dubbed the Infinix Smart 6. However, the device is currently in limited markets. The phone has yet to be released in India and it is also not available in key markets. The new Smart 6 comes with a dual camera setup on the back and runs Android 11 Go Edition.
Infinix Smart 6 Specifications
The Infinix Smart 6 comes in a single storage configuration with 32GB of internal storage. You can always increase this amount with the micro SD card slot. The device has 2GB of RAM, which is not much, but we have to remember that running Android 11 Go should be smooth as it uses resources wisely. In terms of performance, the device uses the Unisoc SC9863A chipset.
The Infinix Smart 6 boasts a 6,6-inch HD + display. It also has a water cutout at the top for the front camera. The phone's display peaks at 500 nits, which isn't all that important. However, this is a lot when you consider that this is a budget smartphone.
There is a dual camera on the back of the phone. The main camera is an 8MP main camera sensor and it is paired with a 0,8MP secondary camera. To be honest, this secondary camera is only for taking numbers, as its use and capabilities are quite limited, even for determining depth. There is a fingerprint scanner on the back. It features a 5MP front camera sensor for selfies and also boasts AI Face Unlock.
As usual in budget smartphones, the battery size will not disappoint. The device comes with a massive 5000mAh battery. The big drawback is that it is limited to 10W charging due to the micro USB port. Unfortunately, this archaic standard has not disappeared from the budget segment yet. The company claims that the device is capable of providing 31 hours of talk time and 87 hours of music playback.
Price and availability
The Infinix Smart 6 is available for $ 120 and is available in four color options - Purple, Ocean Blue, Light Sea Green, and Polar Black. As mentioned, the availability is very limited right now. However, we may soon see Infinix introduce it to other regions and the Indian market. After all, Infinix Smart 5 was released in India.
