iQOO 8, iQOO 8 Legend Coming Soon In India

The iQOO 8 series is supposedly due to launch in India soon, and report from 91mobiles assumes the same. The latest iQOO 8 series from the company is already available in China.

Now, a report from the publication claims that iQOO will ship the device to India soon, given the success of the iQOO 7 series in that country.

Teasers of the phone's launch are expected soon, with the company also likely to announce a launch date for the phone before the end of the holiday season in India.

What to expect from the two new devices?

The base iQOO 8 device is available in China with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The device will boot Android 11 out of the box, but with a different OS than the one used in China.

The device is 8,6 mm thick and weighs 199 grams. The in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock keep the iQOO 8 safe.

Other highlights include a 6,56-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 92,8% screen-to-body ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of camera, there's a 48MP main sensor from Sony, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a third 13MP portrait camera. On the front is a 16 MP front camera.

The device is powered by a 4350mAh battery with support for 120W fast wired charging. Connectivity options include NFC, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2.

What about the iQOO 8 Legend?

On the other hand, the iQOO 8 Pro will carry the Legend moniker in the country of India, powered by a Snapdragon 888 Plus processor, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. It will also download Android 11 out of the box.

The device features a 6,78-inch 2K + E5 AMOLED display from Samsung with a 120Hz refresh rate and 517ppi resolution. Dolby Vision and HDR10 + certified as well.

As for the camera, the device will have a triple rear panel with a 50MP Sony main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide camera and a third 16MP portrait camera. Ahead is a 16-megapixel camera.

Connectivity is similar, with the only difference being a large 4500mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging, 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging.

iQOO has also posted the Android 12 beta release schedule for support information. As expected, the iQOO 7 series, iQOO Z3 and iQOO Z3 are the first in line for the Android 12 beta and will receive the new OS by the end of December.
