iPhone 14 will receive the first big iPhone design change in five years

Was officially released last month iPhone 13, but without any surprises, the look has barely changed. Although the notch has narrowed, it still takes up a lot of space on the front.

Earlier it was reported that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), for the first time this year will release an iPhone with a hole in the display. But it looks like Apple has delayed adoption until the next model. It must be used by at least two generations of products.

However, some insiders are only speculating this due to previous Apple product planning, and according to more authoritative sources such as the industry network, it is highly likely that Apple will equip the iPhone 14 with a perforated screen next year.

According to reports, LG has begun developing related technologies. This step is seen as preparation for a new iPhone order and will provide the required perforated screen for the iPhone 14.

But note that due to the Face ID component, Apple will use an elongated pill-shaped hole to house the Face ID components.

Some time ago, some designers made appropriate renderings so that we could see the design ahead of time.

Overall, while this long streak is not visually coordinated, this is a really big jump from the current notch solution, which can display more content and also make it less difficult to view.

iPhone 14 series

The displays on iPhone 13 Pro models have a 120Hz refresh rate. Whereas the standard iPhone 13 models only have 60Hz bezels. The situation will be completely different with the iPhone 14 line. All models of the next generation will receive a 120 Hz display using LTPO technology.

Currently, only Samsung can produce LTPO displays, which simply doesn't have the manufacturing capacity to produce enough versions for the entire iPhone series. LG is already preparing to help a competitor.

According to reports, he intends to start producing panels of the required type by next year. According to Korean media reports, the company can provide the required amount of appropriate components for the iPhone 14.

We know LG is already in talks with Avaco, which is supplying the equipment for manufacturing LTPO displays; and is awaiting approval from Apple to organize production. Only then will Avaco begin supplying equipment to LG factories.

If all goes according to plan, the company could meet the demand for modern displays for non-professional models and even invade "iPhone Pro territory" so far completely controlled by Samsung. This will allow Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), diversify its supply while reducing its reliance on Samsung display supplies.
