OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 9 series in China on March 24th. The company has opened a pre-order, and it has already crossed 2 million reservations in the country. The devices finally went on sale in China for the first time today, and OnePlus has released official sales information.
In a Weibo post, the company officially stated that the entire episode OnePlus 9 was sold for approximately RMB 300 million in its first sale in China. This record, which was set at 10:00 Beijing time, happened in just 10 seconds.
Back in April 2020, OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 8 series in China, and at its first sale, it sold about RMB 100 million in 1 minute. Going back to the present time, it seems that the first sales of successors in their home country have tripled.
OnePlus has launched two OnePlus 9 series devices in China - OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. However, the biggest change this time around was the move from HydrogenOS to ColoroS 11 in China. And that's not all, as the devices are sold with an official two-year warranty that does not void even if you implement your device.
In addition to adding new devices to ColorOS, OnePlus has also revealed a list of older devices that will later receive an update in China.
