Xiaomi partner Segway-Ninebot recently hosted a product launch event that unveiled several new electric bicycles / scooters. Products fell under the new A series and N series. In the A series, the Ninebot A30C electric moped was introduced. Mopeds are traditionally small motorcycles with a motorcycle engine and bicycle pedals. 
The Ninebot A30C has a similar design, but with an electric drive. In other words, it has a bike pedal that can be deployed when the battery runs out. In terms of performance, the A30C electric bike is equipped with a 48V high-energy lead-acid battery with a range of 40 km. The bodywork uses a high-carbon steel frame, aluminum alloy wheels, vacuum tires and an EABS energy recovery system. 
It has a 12 Ah lead-acid battery. The battery has a maximum operating range of 34 km. It also has a top speed of 25 km / h. The Ninebot app gives users the ability to remotely unlock the scooter. 
In addition, it supports convenient features such as card unlocking, password unlocking, electronic key exchange and induction unlocking. In addition, the scooter has a built-in alarm and AHRSS positioning system, which can alarm when abnormal conditions are detected. 
The scooter has a cloud storage processing platform that can collect information from multiple sensors in real time to track the status of the vehicle. The electric scooter has functions such as motion detection, push detection and lateral support detection. The platform also supports OTA updates and has anti-theft features. 
The Ninebot A30S has a starting price of 1999 Yuan (~ $ 305) and is available in white / gray, red / gray, and gray / green. Apart from the A30S, Ninebot's A series also includes other models such as the A40, A65 and others that will be unveiled in due course. The differences are likely to be in the type of battery and the maximum range. A30S is available in China at Tmall.
