Samsung Galaxy F02s may be renamed Galaxy A02s / M02s

Samsung announced the Galaxy A02s budget smartphone in late November 2020. The same phone later debuted as the Galaxy M02s in India. Now, according to new discoveries, the device could be released as Galaxy F02s in the near future.

The existence of the Galaxy F02s is evidenced by the information about the phone in the Google Play console. He confirms that the phone works on Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM.

Further, the device will sport a display with a resolution of 720 × 1600 pixels (HD +) and 280 DPI. Finally, as far as software is concerned, it will come with Android 10 (One UI Core 2.x).

All of these parameters and branding suggest that this should be a renamed Galaxy A02s и Galaxy M02s respectively. Hence, we expect the smartphone to retain all the features of the other two.

Also, since the Galaxy F series is exclusively for India, we think it should only be available in the specified country. However, another phone (Galaxy M02s) with exact specifications is already available in this region.

Thus, the Galaxy F02s may have a different rear design to be different from others. However, the South Korean tech giant has yet to officially confirm the launch date for this budget smartphone.

What do you think about Samsung releasing the same phone with different names? Do you think the company is following this path because of its Chinese competitors (known for their rebranding)? Let us know in the comment section below.
