Lenovo Tab M8 (3rd Generation) Specs Appear On Google Play Console

It's been a year and a half since Lenovo announced the latest versions of the Galaxy Tab M7 and M8. Their successors are long overdue. A recent Geekbench listing suggests that the new Lenovo Tab with model number TB-7306F could debut as the 7 Tab M2021 model. The Google Play Console listing now shows the specs of the Lenovo Tab M8 (3rd Generation).

Listed on GoAndroid shows a new Lenovo tablet with model number TB-8506F. The tablet is called Lenovo Tab M8 (3rd generation) and the SoC is MediaTek MT8768A. Searching for this model number in the Geekbench database gives us results as shown below.

Unlike the Google Play Console, the chipset is listed on Geekbench as MediaTek MT8768WT. However, the chipset could just be the MediaTek Helio P22T found on its own tablets, like the Lenovo Tab M10 HD, but we'll have to wait for official details.

The display appears to have a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, which suggests Lenovo is sticking to a format just above HD. As the name suggests, it should be 8 inches. Other specs include 3GB of RAM, ОС Android 11... While Geekbench offers a variant with 4GB of RAM, we would mark that prior to launch.

Lenovo has performed consistently in the tablet segment, despite scattered launches. In the fourth quarter of 2020, about 5,6 million units were shipped and provided 8,6% of the market share. Let's wait and see how the company manages to set a price for the 2021 version to keep the momentum going.
