Meizu 18 series flagship smartphone rendering confirms curved screen with hole punch cutout

Chinese smartphone maker Meizu has confirmed that the company will release its next-generation flagship Meizu 18 series smartphones on March 3 in their country. The launch will take place at 14:30 local time.

Now, just a few days before the official launch, the company has shared official images of the upcoming flagship smartphones, revealing their designs. In addition to sharing images, the company added that the Meizu 18 is lightweight while the 18 Pro is a high-end device.

The image shows that both smartphones have a curved screen with a cutout for the front camera in the center of the display. The phones also have an under-display fingerprint sensor.

A recent leak suggests both smartphones will be equipped with Samsung E4 displays AMOLED with support for Full HD + screen resolution and high refresh rate 120 Hz.

The Meizu 18 is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It is expected to feature a triple camera setup consisting of 64MP + 12MP + 5MP sensors.

The device is expected to be powered by Meizu 18 Pro powered by Qualcomm's latest flagship Snapdragon 888 chipset. It should have a quad-camera setup consisting of a 48MP + 48MP + 8MP + ToF lens. On the front side, a 20-megapixel camera is expected for selfies and video calls.

Both smartphones can run the latest operating system Android 11 out of the box with the company's own user interface. The Meizu 18 Pro is said to be powered by a 4500mAh battery with 40W fast charging support.

To find out exactly the phone's specs, variants, color options, pricing and availability details, we'll have to wait a week for the smartphones to go official in China. Meanwhile, we expect the company to reveal more information via teasers.
