Samsung took the industry by storm when it unveiled the Neo QLED TV, its first mini LED smart TV, at CES 2021. The TV is expected to go on sale worldwide from March 2021. The German AV magazine published the first independent review of Neo QLED TVs, giving the TV extremely favorable ratings. 
The magazine named this smart TV “Best TV of all time”. The magazine got its hands on a 75-inch 8K variant of the Neo QLED TV with model number GQ75QN900A. The guys from AV magazine gave the TV model 966 points. This is about 10 points higher than the best Samsung QLED TV of 2020, which received 956 points.
The review team praised the TV for its impressive contrast ratio, deep blacks, high brightness and accurate local dimming thanks to Mini-LED technology. In addition, the Samsung Neo QLED TV has been praised for outstanding design and innovation, and has been selected by the magazine as its “reference” TV.
As a reminder, the Neo QLED panel is based on mini LED backlight technology, which uses smaller LEDs that can focus light on a smaller area. The panel has 40 times less LEDs than conventional full backlit LEDs. Adding more LEDs in a smaller area allows the display panel to provide precise backlight control, improved HDR, higher contrast, and better brightness. 
Samsung is putting the Neo Quantum Processor into a Neo QLED panel, which is used to upscale AI using 16 neural networks to upscale the image to the panel's native resolution. Neo QLED panel is designed for Samsung QN900A 8K and QN90A 4K models. New TVs with Neo QLED panels will offer features such as ultra-thin bezels, 21: 9 and 32: 9 aspect ratios, a new audio system with object tracking and spatial optimization, and much more.
