Xiaomi-backed Redmi has officially confirmed that the company will launch its next generation flagship smartphone on February 25, the Redmi K40. Now, before the official launch, information about the devices appears on the network.

Leaked screenshots revealed that one of the main differences between Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro is the chipset. While the standard model is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, the Pro version is powered by the Snapdragon 888. Please note that we have not verified the authenticity of these screenshots and they may be fake as the number “4” in the model name looks a little odd.

Reports indicate that there will be a third model in this lineup, which will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset based on a 6nm process technology. This model is expected to be called the Redmi K40S.

Both models - Redmi K40 and K40 Pro have the same display type. 6,81-inch available AMOLED panelwhich supports 1440p screen resolution. It uses the same E4 luminous material as the Mi 11 and will likely support a 120Hz refresh rate.

In the camera department, both will ship with a 108-megapixel primary sensor. However, the Pro model is equipped with a 13MP ultra wide-angle lens and a 5MP telephoto lens, while the standard model will be equipped with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 5MP telephoto lens. Both of them will have a 30MP selfie camera.

Xiaomi already teased that the Redmi K40 Pro will have a starting price of around 2999 Yuan (roughly $ 466), which means the Redmi K40 will be priced lower and the Redmi K40S could be the cheapest of the three.
