Xiaomi confirms lack of GMS infrastructure for future phones with Chinese MIUI firmware

A few days ago, there was news that Xiaomi is forbidding users to install GMS ( Google Mobile Services) on their devices with MIUI China ROM. The company made an official statement about this.

The first says that the information about GMS on Xiaomi phones was provided by an unofficial Xiaomi community group. In the second case, the company denies that it is blocking the installation of GMS, and calls the news a "rumor."

However, the third point of the firm contradicts the first two. The company notes that the GMS platform is pre-installed on some smartphones sold in China. But this will not happen in the future.

Consequently, users will not be able to install GMS on their phones by themselves without the necessary infrastructure. Anyway, Xiaomi does say it will supply select phones with the GMS platform based on demand.
