POCO recently announced that it has sold over 1 million units of POCO C3 entry-level smartphones in India. Now it's the turn of another budget smartphone, LITTLE M2.
POCO India reported that LITTLE M2 was sold over a million units in India. In a tweet, the company posted an achievement and announced that its orders for Flipkart have already exceeded 1 million. In terms of software, the company's devices are sold online exclusively through the e-commerce giant.
This happened ten days after POCO celebrated the anniversary of the formation of an independent brand. As a reminder, Xiaomi's Manu Kumar Jain announced the split on January 17, 2020. It's amazing to see that POCO has managed to attract audiences online in a highly competitive environment.
The POCO M2 was unveiled back in September 2020. The smartphone with MediaTek Helio G80 chipset has been launched with a starting price of £ 10 ($ 999). However, at the beginning of this month, the price of the device dropped for the first time. Accordingly, it currently starts at £ 150 for the 9999GB RAM and 6GB variant.
As Regional Director Anuj Kumar noted, POCO has evolved into a brand that can serve customers in a variety of price categories. The company has been rebranding several phones lately, and the POCO M2 is no exception. This is an updated version of the smartphone redmi 9which is also sold in India.
As a result of this diversification, POCO has seen good sales, and becoming the third largest smartphone brand within a year is just the icing on the cake. It's also worth noting that the company sold over a million smartphones in total during the Flipkart Big Billion Days sales in October.
