Redmi Note 10 series likely to ship without charger in retail package

Samsung began experimenting with excluding accessories from its retail phone boxes, starting with Galaxy Note 20 last year, as it did not offer headphones, but delivered them free of charge to those who requested.

This strategy seems to be picking up steam after Apple dropped the charger from all of its iPhones a few months ago. Xiaomi followed suit with its Mi 11, but unlike Apple, it offers buyers the option to have a charger in the box.

Redmi Note10 No Charger Tease

Xiaomi sub-brand is expected to do the same with upcoming smartphones Redmi k40 seriesif the recently released images are to be believed. It looks like another device from the company has to take the charger out of the box too - the Redmi Note 10.

Lu Weibing, Redmi brand CEO recently posted on Weibo, asking for suggestions for the upcoming Redmi Note 10 series smartphones. In the comments, some users suggested taking the charger out of the box, and to one of those comments, Lu Weibing replied that “message received,” which means the charger will not be included in the retail box.

Smartphone manufacturers have justified removing the charger from the box by calling the move "environmentally friendly" and claiming that most users already have a charger at home. But they ignore the fact that a charger that users may have at home is not compatible with the latest fast charging technology and will have to buy a new one to take advantage of this feature.

While a Weibo post may hint that the Redmi Note 10 lineup may be launching anytime soon, we don't expect an official launch in at least a couple of months as the company is currently gearing up to launch the flagship Redmi K40 smartphone. end of next month, after the Spring Festival in China.
