Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 + are the first Samsung devices to receive One UI 3.1 via OTA update

We have to thank Samsung for good gun shooting with the One UI 3.0 update, despite it hitting beta bug recoil. The company has already begun the transition to budget devices like the Galaxy M31. Out of nowhere, it moved to the next version i.e. One UI 3.1 update. Galaxy Tab S7, S7+ devices will be the first to get it via OTA update.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7

If you remember, Samsung released One UI 3.1 with the Galaxy S21 flagship devices. The new user interface has features such as Private Share, performance and memory allocation improvements, and more. Samsung now releases this version together with the Android 11 update for Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 (SM-T875), Galaxy Tab S7 + [19459003] LTE (SM-T975N) and Galaxy Tab S7+ 5G (SM-T976N).

Corresponding firmware versions: T875NKOU1BUA8, T975NKOU1BUA8 и T976NKOU1BUA8... Weighing in at over 2,4GB, it is currently rolling out in South Korea, but the OTA (Over The Air) update should roll out to other regions soon. Speaking of important features, let's take a quick look at what One UI 3.1 offers:

  • Private share
  • Function to remove GPS location data from images (when published)
  • Improved performance and memory allocation
  • Lock screen widgets (new features added)
  • Video call in the background

In addition to this, we can also expect the usual Android 11 perks like chat bubbles, media controls, improved permission management, improved digital well-being, and organized notifications. In addition, Galaxy Tab S7, S7 + received an important function - support for a second screen.

Typically, this allows tablets to act as a second screen (like Apple Sidecar) with some Samsung Windows PCs. These are Galaxy Book Flex, Galaxy Book Flex Alpha, Galaxy Book Ion, Galaxy Book S and Notebook Plus.

However, you can expect One UI 3.1 to start tricking other devices in the future. Speaking of which, the report says devices like the Galaxy S20, Note 20, Z Flip 4G and 5G, S10 Series and Note 10 devices are sure to get it.
