POCO F2 will not have Snapdragon 732G, POCO India CEO said

At the end of 2020, POCO India seemed to tease the arrival of the POCO F2. Since then, the rumor mill has circulated some information about the POCO F2 specifications. A recent leak claimed it would not be a flagship phone, but a mid-range phone powered by Snapdragon 732G... On Saturday, popular informer and youtuber Mukul Sharma held an AMA session with Anuj Sharma, POCO Regional Director for India, to share exclusive information. During the session, Anju revealed that the Snapdragon 7332G will not drive the POCO F2.

In December, two laptop batteries, model numbers R15B02W and R14B02W, were certified by the Bureau of Standards of India (BIS). These batteries were reportedly listed under the POCO brand. Consequently, the rumor mill has begun to speculate that the POCO brand may soon enter the laptop market. However, in the first few minutes of the AMA session, Anuj confirmed that it is indeed a POCO battery, but not a laptop battery.

While Anuj talked about POCO F2 several times in the AMA session, it remains to be confirmed whether the successor to the legendary POCO F1 will be called POCO F2 or POCO F3. It is revealed that the Snapdragon 732G (mid-range chip) will not use the F-series. This indicates that the POCO F1's successor could be a flagship SoC.
