Foxconn Technology, a renowned supplier Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, has already invested about US $ 1,5 billion in Vietnam and intends to hire over 10 additional local workers during this year.

In addition, local reports also indicated that Foxconn plans to invest an additional $ 1,3 billion in Thanh Hoa Province, located south of Hanoi. The company intends to move the assembly of some iPads and MacBooks through the new website, according to a person close to the matter. The move also comes after Apple decided to diversify its supply chain to minimize the impact of a strained U.S.-China relationship.
