Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon and X1 Yoga get updated display, processor and Dolby Voice

At CES 2021, Lenovo updated two of its top-of-the-line devices, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon and Lenovo X1 Yoga. Both devices now run on 11th Gen Intel processors with vPro support.

The devices also have an updated display panel. This time around, the company opted for a 16:10 aspect ratio screen with a reduced bottom bezel. It also supports Dolby Vision for display and Dolby Atmos for sound. For the first time, these laptops come with Dolby Voice support for online meetings.

The laptop is equipped with a 14-inch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and has a Full HD + resolution, and also supports UHD + resolution, and the brightness of the device can reach a maximum value of 500 nits.

Along with the processor Intel 11th generation, the device is equipped with Intel Xe graphics, promising better overall performance than previous generation models. It can hold up to 32GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 2TB SSD.

It comes with optional 4G LTE or 5G connectivity. The device is running an operating system Windows 10 and supports Windows Hello IR with privacy shutter. It is powered by a 57 Wh battery and should provide longer battery life than its predecessor.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga (Gen 6)

This is the latest convertible from the company. It comes with a detachable keyboard with TrackPoint system and has a built-in pen that makes it easy for users to take notes or mark up a document.

In terms of specifications, the configuration is similar to that found in the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon. It also supports 4G connectivity or 5Gmaking it a good choice for productivity tasks.

If we talk about price and availability, then Lenovo The ThinkPad X1 Carbon costs $ 1429, while the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga is $ 1569. Both devices will go on sale in the US starting next month.
