Chinese smartphone makers are known for slowly updating their devices to the latest version of Android. But in the last couple of years, this story has begun to change the course of events. A large number of phones with thick skin from Xiaomi ( MIUI ) and OPPO ( coloros ) already on [19459002] Android 11 ... Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for vivo, as the OEM has just shared a list of eligible phones and a timetable for the deployment of Funtouch OS 11.
In case you forgot, back in November, vivo announced Origin OS its new operating system for smartphones. The company is currently launching an open beta testing program in its country, China. But for India, the devices will updated up to Funtouch OS 11 based on Android 11.
We think that it should be the same in other regions. In any case, OriginOS is for high-end smartphones, and basically it is Funtouch OS 11 with additional user interface elements. Since vivo is known for its mid-range and budget mobile phones, it makes sense for the company to provide a lightweight OS to improve performance on lower hardware.
However, here is a list of eligible phones for Funtouch OS 11 in India along with their rollout timeline.

Unsurprisingly, only a handful of phones were included in the list. Apart from these phones, the vivo V20 Pro 5G has already received an update, while the vivo V20 debuted [19459005] with Funtouchh OS 11 based on Android 11 right out of the box.
Having said that, it's worth noting that the aforementioned timelines are for beta deployment. Therefore, the actual stable release for these devices will take longer.
