Today (January 8, 2021), the Chinese tech giant posted a short announcement on its official Weibo account, a Chinese microblogging website. In this online post, the company has officially announced the launch date for its first ANC TWS earbuds, as well as the name of the new wireless earbuds. The upcoming headphones will be called Meizu Pop Pro.

The new release also came as the company expands its consumer electronics portfolio to soon include other wearable devices like smartwatches and more. This new smartwatch is expected to arrive sometime in the first quarter of 2021. In our previous report, we looked at Meizu's patent for future headphones, which gives us an idea of what they might look like. Unfortunately, the company has yet to reveal any details regarding the Pop Pro ANC TWS earbuds.

According to the patent, it comes with a charging case that supports USB Type-C charging port. It is not yet known if it supports fast charging, but we got a good idea of the design: there is a battery status LED on the front panel. For now, all we have left to do is the launch date and a short teaser video shared by the company that hinted at its noise canceling feature. So stay tuned for updates and new headphones launches.
