LG Bendable Cinematic Sound OLED Display Also Showcased At CES 2021

Over the past few weeks LG Display showed off a range of innovative displays that are expected to be officially unveiled at CES 2021. About a week ago, they unveiled their QNED Mini LED TVs. The company also recently announced that it will showcase its transparent OLED panels at an upcoming event. In the same light, the Korean tech giant has announced a 48-inch OLED TV (CSO) with flexible cinematic sound optimized for gaming. LG's new Bendable Cinematic Sound OLED (CSO) TV uses the extremely thin OLED panel that LG is known for. The display features a 48-inch screen and can be swiveled up to 1000R curvature for an immersive gaming experience. The display can also be straightened to flat when watching a regular TV.

The display is specially designed for gaming and has a response time of 0,1 milliseconds thanks to OLED technology. It also has a wide variable refresh rate range from 40Hz to a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. Another impressive embedded technology is how the display itself reproduces sound using an ultra-thin film driver just 0,6mm thick.

Commenting on the announcement, Chang Ho Oh, executive vice president and head of business at LG Display, said:

“LG Display's 48-inch Bendable CSO is optimized for gaming as it makes the most of cutting-edge technology to deliver a new level of immersion. In other words, it offers gamers the best gaming environment possible. "

We may have to wait until the end of the year for this product to hit store shelves as LG has no plans to announce pricing and availability information at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
