Motorola Capri receives FCC certification; The launch might be near

Earlier this month, Technology News leaked about the existence of two upcoming mid-range phones Motorola codenamed Capri and Capri Plus. The leak revealed that the model number XT-2127 belongs to the Motorola Capri phone, while the Plus version has the model number XT-2129. The XT-2127 smartphone has passed FCC certification in the United States today, indicating that a launch may not be far off.

The exterior of the Motorola Capri, released by the FCC, does not reveal any of its key features. The listing states that it supports 4G LTE, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC. The exact name of the Motorola Capri is not yet known.

Previous reports have revealed that the Motorola Capri is a Snapdragon 460-powered smartphone. It is expected to come with a waterdrop notch display that supports HD+ resolution of 720x1600 pixels. Its exact screen size is still unknown. It is expected to have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

For taking selfies, it can be equipped with an 8 megapixel lens. The back of the phone is expected to sport a quad-camera system that includes a 48MP main shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP lens for increased depth of field.

The Motorola Capri Plus, on the other hand, is expected to have an HD 90Hz display and a 13MP selfie camera. The phone's main camera can include a 64MP main camera, a 13MP ultra wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth assistant. It is not clear what processor is present under the hood of the device. It will most likely come in two RAM versions like 4GB and 6GB and storage options like 64GB and 128GB. Capri and Capri Plus are expected to go official in the first quarter of 2021.
