Honor V40 is reported to receive China MIIT certification; can start with 66W fast charge

The Honor V40 series is rumored to be out in December. However, recent leaks have said the series has been scaled down to one device (Honor V40) after the Kirin 9000 SoC failed. The device is currently expected to debut in January. And now the tipster says that he has a MIIT certificate.

As reported by Digital Chat Station (via Read), a device with model number YOK-AN10 appears on the China MIIT certification website. The applicant is listed as Glory Terminal Co Ltd. (translated) which means Honor... In addition, the listing also confirms that it will be a device 5G.

Now, if you remember, an analyst revealed the codename of the upcoming Honor smartphone last week. According to him, the Honor V40 will be codenamed YORK and model number YOK-AN10. Hence, the above listing and the gunner's info suggest that this is most likely the V40 from Honor. In addition, he also says that Honor V40 will support 66W fast charging.

Precisely, he says that Honor's standard charger is reportedly the same (HW-110600C0x) as Huawei's. Previously, the Huawei 66W charger received China's 3C certification back in July. It had model number HW-110600C00 and rated 11 V / 6 A. This charging technology later debuted in the company's latest flagship Mate 40 series.

Although Honor is now virtually independent of Huawei, it looks like the company wants to use some of the latter's technologies even after the separation. Either way, Honor V40 is likely to be powered by MediaTek SoC Dimension 1000+... Previously, there were rumors that the device will be equipped with a 120Hz AMOLED display and a 50MP Sony IMX700 RYYB camera sensor. We will wait for new leaks in the coming days.
