Redmi 9 Power leak reveals quad camera setup

Redmi confirmed today that it will launch the Redmi 9 Power in India on December 17th. Although the device is most likely a modified version of Redmi Note 9 4G (China), informant Ishan Agarwal shared an exclusive rendering of the device.

As the 91MobilesThe tipster shares a rear image of the upcoming Redmi 9 Power. Accordingly, the image shows the back panel of the Redmi 9 Power in blue. As you can see below, the rectangular camera layout is similar to the Redmi Note 9 4G that launched in China last month. However, it has an additional sensor, unlike the Chinese version.

This is what we already reported thanks to the FCC listings and the Google Play Console. Consequently, Redmi 9 power and other versions (Redmi 9T) will have an additional 2MP macro sensor replacing the "AI" logo in the Chinese version.

Anyway, the rest of the render shows the "48MP" logo, "SUPER QUAD CAMERA" (instead of TRIPLE). In addition to the textured rear panel of the device, the placement of the LED flashlight is similar to the Chinese version. In terms of rear camera specs, the device will have a 48MP main (wide), 8MP ultra-wide, two 2MP macro and depth sensors.

Redmi 9 power specifications

Apart from the extra sensor, the Redmi 9 Power will be basically the same as the Note 9 4G in China. It will feature a 6,53-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC, 4GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage.

Other specs will include an 8MP selfie shooter, 6000mAh battery with 18W charging, MIUI 12 based on Android 10 out of the box. In addition, the teaser page confirms that the Redmi 9 Power will come in orange, black and green colors in addition to the blue render shown above.
