Samsung Galaxy A70 starts receiving One UI 2.5 update in Europe

Samsung Galaxy A50s recently received the One UI 2.5 update. Following him Galaxy A70 will also receive an update along with the November 2020 security patch.

As the Tizenhelp (across SammobileThe Galaxy A70 is reportedly receiving the One UI 2.5 update based on Android 10 in Europe. However, it seems that the update is only for Ukraine so far. However, Samsung may be testing the update first before rolling out to all regions where the Galaxy A70 exists.

The update has a firmware version A705FNXXU5CTK4 and weighs 1421 MB. As previously mentioned, it includes the latest security patch (November 1, 2020) as well as improvements to the keyboard, Wi-Fi, keyboard features, and more. Additionally, Sammobile's report states that the Galaxy A70 update only rolls out to the mobile operator Kyivstar. This confirms the aforementioned theory that Samsung usually uses for its refresh cycle.

Be that as it may, the new update appears to add support for split keyboard in landscape mode and YouTube search functionality on Samsung's keyboard. In addition, users can now use Bitmoji Stickers on Always On Display ( AOD). For messages, users receive SOS messages, sharing location via SOS every 30 minutes up to 24 hours.

Apart from the usual One UI 2.5 update, the Galaxy A70 also gets new Wi-Fi setup features. Now users can see the quality of the new connection, Wi-Fi password request feature. Samsung recently updated its mid-range Galaxy A and budget M series devices with the One UI 2.5 and One UI Core 2.5 updates, respectively.

The first A-series device to receive is the Galaxy A71, followed by the Galaxy A51. For M series Galaxy M21 - the first version of One UI Core 2.5 before M31... The company previously released the One UI 2.1 update last month with features like Single Take, Night Hyperlapse, My Filters and more.

It's just an incremental update anyway, and it should get the bigger One UI 3.0 soon, based on Android 11... Unfortunately, however, the Galaxy A70 is not on the list of A-series devices that should receive updates for up to three years.
