Amazfit GTR 2 receives Bluetooth certification

Huami recently announced a new smartwatch called Amazfit Neo, but we already know that new gadgets are coming soon, including successors to last year's Amazfit GTR and Amazfit GTS and smart scales. Now the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) has certified the Amazfit GTR 2.

The list of new watches was published on September 11 and shows that the Amazfit GTR 2 has the model number "A1952". It also revealed that it will connect via Bluetooth 5.0.

Amazfit GTR 2 receives Bluetooth certification

The leaks revealed that the Amazfit GTR 2 is codenamed "Lisbon". The watch should have a round AMOLED display like its predecessors, and be available in two sizes. In terms of features, we'd expect it to have more sport modes, an improved heart rate sensor, and hopefully an SpO2 monitor. There is also the possibility that the international version of the watch will have an Amazon Alexa assistant.

Since the Amazfit GTR 2 and Amazfit Smart Scale have been certified by the Bluetooth SIG, we expect the Amazfit GTS 2 to follow suit soon and launches of all three devices should be on the horizon.
