We recently reported that Xiaomi started pushing Android 10 updates for Redmi 7A in China. For many, this came as a surprise, given that a number of more expensive models have not yet received the latest version of Google's OS. Users outside of China will now be able to update their models to Android 10 as Xiaomi has released a new OTA update that opens the latest version of Android. 
Redmi 7A appeared in 2019, the initial price was about $ 85 for the version with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB. The phone comes with Android 9.0 Pie-based MIUI 10. The model was previously upgraded to MIUI 11, but is still based on Android 9.
The update comes with version number V11.0.1.0.QCMEUXM, in addition to the functions of Android 10, it also includes a security patch for Android from May 2020. It is said that this new update is available on the European version of the budget phone. However, we expect other regions to begin receiving the OTA push in the near future.
