Oneplus z (formerly OnePlus 8 Lite) has been leaking for months. But apart from @OnLeaks 3D CAD rendering and branding, most of the leaks were just speculation. But now there is some concrete evidence for the specs in the form of a survey. In addition, the launch date for India is also set for July 10th.
OnePlus has been gradually raising the prices of its smartphones over the years. But this year it will reverse the trend by launching a mid-range smartphone. The last such phone from the brand was the OnePlus X.
But now the company is ready to launch its budget smartphone in 5 years. According to the proposed survey, the upcoming OnePlus Z will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, as mentioned earlier.
It will be equipped with a 6,55-inch Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a central punch hole at the top. For photography, it will be equipped with a triple camera with a resolution of 64MP (main) + 16MP (probably ultra-wide) + 2MP (either depth or macro), and a 16-megapixel selfie shot.
Other phone features will include a fingerprint sensor on the display, a 4300 mAh battery, 30 W quick charge and 6 GB of RAM + 128 GB of ROM. Most importantly, the survey also indicates that the price of OnePlus Z is £ 24 ($ 990), which is a stellar deal if it turns out to be true.
Earlier today, OnePlus scheduled an event for July 2 to unveil its budget budget smart TVs in India. Hence, the OnePlus Z should have been unveiled at the same event as well. But now, according to Android CentralJuly 10, it will be released separately.
