TikTok ByteDance Parent Creates New Entity in India

 

ByteDance, the company that created one of the most popular social media apps in the world TikTok, creates another corporate organization in India. This is the second attempt in India by the Chinese multinational corporation, which seeks to expand its horizons in the country of Southeast Asia.

India is currently also one of ByteDance's key markets, and many TikTok users come from this region. Sources claim that the company is currently seeking to expand its IT business by providing information technology related and other similar services to all other ByteDance platforms around the world, as well as in India.

 
 

ByteDance owns two popular social networking platforms, including TikTok short video sharing apps and Helo apps. The company also owns content search platforms such as Toutiao and Douyin, which are also Chinese counterparts of TikTok and Xigua Video. In addition, this new corporate organization is reported to be responsible for the inclusion of content created on all of these platforms.

According to one source, “data and technology will be transferred in India, and ByteDance will seek to increase its workforce in India, in a market where the company will strive to create a center of excellence in the short term.” In other words, an extension to the Indian market, where there are already 611 million downloads of just one TikTok application.
